ABOUT THE BIG BANG BALL
The Big Bang Ball was conceived to be a celebration of the artists and companies that BANG! Arts has worked with since its inception in 2008. Every artist, business and person participating has our adoration & loyalty! We are so lucky that we get to do what we do.
For the past four years, BANG! has consulted with dozens of artists and businesses, for profit and pro bono. We decided that it may be nice to create an event that would in turn serve to help sustain our non-profit partners. With that, any profits made from this first annual, one day festival will create the BANG! scholarship. This scholarship will in turn help applicants that are accepted receive training in self-promotion, marketing and public relations practices to create a stronger brand of artist and young business.
ABOUT BANG!
Bang! is the brain child of Deisha Oliver-Millar and it all started in February of 2008 in the back gallery of Eyedrum. A child of artists, musicians and writers, the proclivity to be a cellist/actor/director was apparent from a very early age. Throughout her varied career, she found that she was always promoting someone, something. Always working on some new way to reach audiences. Always talking, writing, working on a new event or artistic endeavor. She's a connector. Deisha felt that after years of promoting and the urging of many of her friends and family, that starting a new company based on connecting artists and businesses to the wide, wide world would be just the right move. As the recession hit hard in 2008, so did Bang!!
